Softer image
Fresnel lenses and 1832 x 1920 pixels per eye look less sharp than the Quest 3's pancake lenses and 2064 x 2208. Text is the first thing you notice.
Weaker mixed reality
There is no depth sensor and passthrough cameras are lower resolution, so room-mapping apps work less well than on Quest 3.
Three lens positions
Lens spacing has steps at 58, 63 and 68 mm. Quest 3 adjusts smoothly from 53 to 75 mm.
Short battery
Meta rates about 2.5 hours per charge. Longer sessions mean charging breaks.
128GB fills fast
Storage can't be upgraded, and Batman: Arkham Shadow alone needs about 18 GB.
