Is the Keurig K-Duo the right coffee maker for your house?
The current K-Duo is the Gen 2 Hot & Iced, which usually sells for $160 to $200. It brews K-Cup pods on one side and a 6- to 12-cup pot of ground coffee on the other, from one 72-ounce tank, but the carafe coffee runs cooler than a typical drip maker. Tick how you drink coffee and see which side you are on.

Where the two-in-one design gives ground
The K-Duo puts a pod brewer and a drip maker in one body. These are the trade-offs of sharing one machine.
Carafe coffee runs cool
Tom's Guide measured it at about 160°F straight after brewing, cooler than other drip makers it tested.
Settings are for the pod side only
Strong, Extra Hot and Brew Over Ice apply to single cups. The carafe side offers size and Auto Brew.
A 6-cup minimum pot
The carafe brews 6, 8, 10 or 12 cups. For one or two mugs, you use a pod.
A tank at the back
The 72-ounce tank is large but sits behind the machine, which makes refills awkward under cabinets or against a wall.
No dishwasher
Keurig says the parts are not dishwasher safe, and it asks you to descale every three months.
What it costs
