Where the Galaxy phone matters

The Buds 4 Pro work with any Bluetooth phone. These are the limits once you leave Samsung's ecosystem, plus a few that apply to everyone.

iPhone gets the basics

On iOS you get Bluetooth audio at 16-bit/44 kHz, ANC and Ambient mode. There's no Samsung app, so no EQ and no control customizing.

Other Android phones lose key features

With the Galaxy Wearable app you get settings, but not 24-bit audio, 360 Audio, Interpreter, head gestures or gaming mode.

No real multipoint

They auto-switch between Galaxy devices on one Samsung account. With other devices you switch by hand.

Some features need the newest software

Head gestures need One UI 8.5 or later. Super Clear Call and Interpreter need recent Galaxy phones.

Battery is middle of the pack

Six hours with ANC on is enough for most days, short for long-haul flights without the case.

No charger or cable

The box has the buds, tips and case only.

Do the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro work with iPhone?

Yes, over Bluetooth, with ANC and Ambient mode. Samsung's Wearable app isn't available on iOS, so most settings and extras are missing.

Not in the usual sense. They switch automatically between Galaxy devices on the same Samsung account, but not between other devices.

How long does the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro battery last?

Samsung states up to 6 hours with ANC on and 26 hours with the case, or 7 and 30 hours with ANC off.

Are the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro waterproof?

They're rated IP57, which covers dust and immersion in up to 3 feet of fresh water for 30 minutes.

What's the difference between Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro?
